Rollers and bow stops set how the ski loads and where it sits. A correctly positioned bow stop centers the hull and stops it moving forward under braking. Worn or seized rollers make loading a fight and can scuff the hull, and a roller that has stopped turning will drag a flat spot straight into your gelcoat.
Replace rollers when the rubber hardens, cracks, or stops rotating freely, and check the shafts for corrosion at the same time — a seized shaft is usually what stopped the roller turning. Adjust bow stop height so the hull rides evenly across all supports rather than resting hard on one point, which is how you develop a pressure dent over a winter of storage.
