Collection: Ride Plates
Ride plates for PWC. The ride plate is the flat plate at the rear underside of the hull, behind the pump, and it has more influence on how a ski handles than almost any other bolt-on part.
A longer or reshaped plate settles the hull, improves straight-line tracking, and reduces porpoising in chop. A shorter or more aggressive plate frees the stern for quicker turn-in and easier lean. Which one is right depends entirely on how and where you ride — open rough water rewards a different plate than flat-water carving.
Ride plate and intake grate work together. Changing one without considering the other often produces a result the rider did not expect, so plan the pair as a package if you are chasing a specific handling change.
