Collection: Impeller Shafts

The impeller shaft connects the driveshaft to the impeller inside the pump. It takes the full torque of the engine and spins in a bearing-supported housing, so wear shows up as vibration, play, and eventually thread or spline damage.

Check the shaft any time you have the pump apart. Look for spline wear where the impeller threads on, scoring where the shaft rides in the seal, and any measurable play at the bearing. A shaft with worn splines will keep chewing up impellers no matter how many new ones you install.

We stock impeller shafts for Sea-Doo, Yamaha, and Kawasaki personal watercraft. Replace the bearings and seals at the same time — they wear together, and having the pump apart twice is the expensive way to do this job.
