A jet pump repair kit bundles the wear items you should replace together — typically bearings, seals, and o-rings — so the pump goes back together right the first time.

The mistake most people make is replacing one failed component and reusing everything around it. Pump bearings and seals age at the same rate under the same heat and load. If a bearing has failed, the seals next to it are near the end of their life too, and you will be back inside the pump within a season.
