Collection: Connecting Rods
Connecting rods for PWC engine rebuilds, including rod kits with bearings and hardware. The rod ties the piston to the crankshaft and carries enormous cyclic load — when a rod bearing goes, it usually takes the crankshaft with it.
Rod bearing failure gives warning if you are listening: a knock that increases with load, metal in the oil on a 4-stroke, or a bottom end that has developed play. If you find any of those, stop running the engine. Continuing after a rod bearing starts to fail is the difference between a rebuild and a replacement engine.
We stock rods for Sea-Doo, Yamaha, and Kawasaki engines. Any bottom end that has run with contaminated oil, been submerged, or sat with water in the crankcase should have the rods and bearings inspected as a matter of course.
