Collection: Carburetors
Carburetors and carburetor rebuild components for 2-stroke PWC, including Mikuni units and the parts to service them.
Carbureted skis that have sat are the classic no-start. Modern pump fuel goes off within months, leaving varnish that plugs the tiny passages in the pilot circuit and gums the needle and seat. The result is a ski that will not start, will not idle, or bogs off the bottom. A rebuild kit and an afternoon usually fixes it.
Check the fuel lines and filter at the same time — old fuel line collapses internally and hardens, and putting a freshly cleaned carb behind a failing line just recontaminates it. If you store a carbureted ski for the season, either drain the bowls or run a stabilizer. That habit alone prevents most spring no-starts.
